Campsite "De Hondsrug" is a campsite with lots of facilities. Comfort, peacefulness, convenience and enjoyment are important to us and we are trying hard to make sure it can be found on the entire site.
Heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool
At our campsite there are two swimming pools, entry is free for guests. The large, solar-heated outdoor pool is the ideal place to be on sunny days. The outdoor swimming pool is equipped with a familyrink, separate children's pool and a large sunbathing area.
If the weather isn't that good, you'll be able to go to the heated indoor swimming pool (water temperature 28 degrees Celsius) which also has a separate children's area. In the same building you will find the Roman steam bath: the real holiday experience!
Snacks, takeaway counter and grocery shop
At our campsite you'll find a large camp store for your daily newspaper, fresh bread and so on. Don't like to cook some day? Enjoy the food in, or on the terrace of, our Bistro "De Schuilhut". They serve snacks, delicious cocktails, coffee or tea, ice cream and several (alcoholic) drinks. At the takeaway counter you can buy french fries, various snacks and sandwiches.
Sports and games
Children can play for hours in the various playgrounds scattered around our campsite grounds. During the school holidays they can participate in activities organized by our recreation team.
For those who'd like to be active there are football-, volleyball and beach volleyball fields. From 2011 you can also play tennis at our multifunctional sportsground.
We rent bicycles, skelters and bolderwagens.
Modern and clean sanitary buildings
Our many sanitary buildings are spread around the campgrounds: you don't have to walk far to find one. The buildings are modern and very clean. Besides toilets and showers you will find private washrooms as well. Hot water is free and always available. There are special rooms for bathing babies and small children (with baby baths and children's showers / toilets). There is also a bathroom especially adapted for the disabled (with alarm bell).
An extensive laundry is also available to our guests.
Wireless internet
Would you like to check your e-mail or chat with the family at home? Would you like to find out what the weather will be or get some ideas for a day-trip? Just use the wireless network or the Internet computer at our campsite.
